Japanese sisters--Making Progress!

I've been working on this piece for quite some time in between studying!

My sister brought origami paper back from Japan when she went with our grandmother to visit our family a couple years back. My grandmother used to go every year.

This temple wall piece began as a jewelry box (notice the colored compartments) but as things were changing in the present-day, it gained more meaning as I continued working on it. As a result, I felt it demanded more visibility. I am going to fill in the top window and I keep thinking of new ideas in other areas to go forward. I have more paper left, and it will be hard to know when to stop and let it be finished.

Time to go study for immunology!
